WELCOME TO THE BADMINTONSKILLS APP: A QUICK GUIDE TO GETTING STARTED

If you’re looking to improve your badminton skills, stay consistent with your training, and track your progress along the way, the BadmintonSkills app has you covered. Here’s a quick guide to help you make the most of everything the app offers.

Your Four Main Tabs

Once you open the app, you’ll see four key tabs at the bottom of your screen:

Today – This is your home page and gives you a snapshot of your training activity for the day. From here, you can also log extra workouts or matches with a quick tap of the plus button.

Coaching – Your training calendar lives here. You can schedule, view and rearrange your upcoming sessions to fit around your week.

On-Demand – This is the library, packed with ready-made sessions and individual drills across singles, doubles, and fitness. You can browse recommended content, filter by category, or search for specific drills.

You – A central place for your personal data. Keep track of total training time, exercises completed, body metrics, and your workout history.

How the On-Demand Library Works

In the Library, you’ll find everything from warm-ups to full training sessions. You can preview sessions, view detailed instructions, and watch videos to understand each drill. Don’t recognise something? Tap the drill name for a step-by-step guide.

You Can Also:

– Download sessions for offline use (videos require internet or mobile data)
– Print workouts as PDFs to use courtside
– Add sessions to your calendar for future training

When you’re ready to begin, tap Start Workout. The app will guide you exercise by exercise, with a built-in stopwatch and timer to help you stay on track. When you’ve finished, you’ll be prompted to rate the session based on how tough it felt.

Build Your Own Sessions

You’re not just limited to our ready-made workouts. The Library also includes a wide range of standalone drills, which you can mix and match to create your own custom sessions. Just add them to your calendar for the day and you’re good to go.

Training Calendar and Scheduling

Your calendar is your coaching plan. You can:

– Schedule as many sessions in advance as you like
– Rearrange sessions to different days to match your availability
– View the current week and the one before (two weeks’ view)

It’s a simple way to build structure into your training and stay accountable.

Resources and Coaching Tips

Need inspiration? The Resources section is regularly updated with expert tips to support your development on and off the court.

Track Your Progress

The You page is where it all comes together. See how much you’ve trained, monitor key stats, and review past workouts. You can also sync your app data with other health apps in your profile settings.
